Late Night Visitor: Return of the Caracal

Until the range of the Cape Leopard expands into our area, the Caracal is the largest wild species of cat in the region. Records of these brick-red cats have been quite rare, and none have been recorded on the camera traps for the greater part of a year, that is until Philipp recorded this one sniffing one of the video camera traps on the Lulufontein Preserve, giving us a great up-close view of this beautiful animal
