Part of June’s improvements to Lulufontein was an automatic waterhole installed by Philipp that would become Lulufontein’s most popular new animal hangout. The rectangular waterhole is fed by a solar-powered pump from the borehole to a water storage tank, and to the trough. When the water level lowers, an automatic valve fills the basin. Within days, animals of many species stopped in for a sip, and some now make it a regular stop on their daily rounds, including birds taking a morning bath.
